Just as therapists in training have to get therapy, astrologers too have something to gain from receiving their own reading … especially when it comes from master teacher / author Steven Forrest. Borrego Springs, here we come! Last time my friend and fellow astrologer Dabney were there, we took his master class. Learning from the giants!

Who says lawyers don’t like astrology and tarot?!? Logic and intuition do not have to be at loggerheads after all, and the best lawyers use both (my theory based on zero facts).

Guess my Sun Sign?! It’s a familiar assumption that astrologers “should” be able to guess Sun signs just based on meeting a person. Honestly, I think a person who knew less about astrology that I do would have better luck. Between the Rising sign, the Midheaven and planets in the 1st House, we astrologers are picking up on a lot of information. Also, being an astrologer is not the same thing as being a psychic. We read symbols off a chart and then use our knowledge of the planets and the relationships between them to do a reading. In any case, I’m always up for a challenge. I went to the Buzzfeed headquarters, observed and questioned employees and made my best guess. Yes, sometimes I got lucky, sometimes I mistakenly thought they were the sign that was rising (i.e. I guessed the Cancer was a Leo, but she was a Leo Rising!), and sometimes I utterly failed. The astrological breakdown on Miley and Liam’s split. Can we blame the stars? Partially :)

Sagittarius and Capricorns may compliment one another, but they’re certainly not a classic match. Because Miley’s Venus and Mars are in earth and water and Liam’s are in fire and air, there’s definitely an attraction. At the end of the day however, this is a breakup in the column for “opposites attract but may not stick … forever.” TBD. With Uranus and Neptune part of their interconnected cosmic web, part of what defines their relationship is mystery, upheaval and the unexpected. Oh, the drama!

The Lords of Manifestation - Jupiter and Saturn - are under the master’s microscope for a weekend in San Diego with Evolutionary Astrologer and modern-day Merlin Steven Forrest.
